Tennessee Firearms Association and Gun Owners of America are jointly hosting the 2024 Gun Owners Lobby Day at the Tennessee Legislature. The day that we have selected of available dates is Tuesday, April 2, 2024. This is planned as an all day event at the Tennessee Legislature in Nashville. Lunch to be provided by TFA and GOA.
We are tracking over 200 bills this year. Many are carry-forwards of Bil Lee’s push in 2023 to enact massive gun control changes in Tennessee, including a spectrum of Red Flag laws, in his response to the Covenant shootings. Very few of the bills are, in contrast, designed to implement the types of changes that are required by the United States Supreme Court’s June 2022 decision in Bruen would require.
The 2024 Gun Owners Lobby Day is critical to our efforts to look these legislators in the eye, in the committee rooms, in the halls and in the offices to demand that they take their oaths to heart and repeal all infringements on our rights to keep, bear and wear arms.
