TFA Training – Grassroots, Campaign and Candidate training for summer of 2019

Tennessee Firearms Association is doing what it can to help its members and the public become better, more informed grassroots activists. It is critical that the public be not only informed of what is going on in the legislatures but also that they have the training and tools to deal with the “control” shenanigans that legislators can and will use to seem friendly while simply stonewalling your efforts.

Another important mission is to help arrange for and make training available to those who want to potentially run for office – any office – and to provide training that helps the potential candidates, their teams and even interested volunteers to know what is required to have a successful and victorious campaign for either an open seat or more commonly to defeat a RINO in a primary.

TFA has arranged for two specific training programs this summer and is helping to support a more intensive program this fall. Please consider signing up now for one or more of these important opportunities!

The first course is one taught by FACL (Foundation for Applied Conservative Leadership) on political leadership and engagement on Saturday, July 27.  TFA has offered this course in the past and TFA’s current board and leaders have attended it several times.  You will likely see us there again for a refresher, to encourage others and to underscore that this training and understanding its strategy is important to work effectively as a grassroots advocate individually and collectively.

The second course is also taught by FACL and covers campaign management training.  It will be Saturday, August 24.  This course is intended for anyone who is entertaining the idea or has already made up their minds to run for office.  It is also critical that those who plan to work with candidates as part of their campaign teams, staff or even volunteers to have this training to better understand the process.  It is truly a broad introduction.  It will lay the groundwork for the follow courses in September and October which are more in depth campaign management schools.

TFA urges all TFA members and volunteers to sign up now for the July 27 grassroots course.  Seating is limited to perhaps not more than 150 attendees.
